YAMSEN:SpeciallyMusic Art and Poetry Competition 2020

The themes this year are confinement and diversity.

We have all encountered lockdown in our own ways, and Black History Month may feel different with the prominence of the Black Lives Matter movement in the media this year.  The stimuli this year encourage entrants to look at, listen to or read other artists' takes on these topics and create their own poems, pictures or 3D art in response.

Entries to the art competition should be either two-dimensional pictures, no bigger than A3, or, this year we would also like some 3D entries made of mostly recycled materials, limited to no more than 10 per school/centre.

We are also accepting entries of poetry, no longer than one side of A4.

Most important, please note: only one entry per person.  Schools, please do not send in class sets, but select your best from them.

Entry is £5 per school or day centre for YAMSEN members and £10 for non-members.

Entry deadline: Please send to Victoria Jaquiss at Meanwood Community Centre no later than 11th November.
