Donkeys UK!
come and join us
On Tuesday June 17th and Wednesday June 18th 2008
at the EST Donkey Centre
Swan Lane, Eccup in Leeds,
from 10-30 till 2pm.

The days will consist of musical activities based on the theme of the British Isles, and they are suited to children with learning difficulties.
We always have lots of fun, and although we won't be riding the donkeys, they will be very involved in the days! So, if you would like to come along with a group of up to 8 students, please complete and return the entry form mentioned below stating your preferred day.
               The cost:
                                 £6 per child for YAMSEN members,                                  £8 for non-members.

I will confirm your booking and let you know what to bring, but you will need a packed lunch for your group.

Music for a Summer's Day
July 2nd 2008

Morning - Singing Workshop
Afternoon - Concert
at the Craiglands Hotel in Ilkley

Do you have a group of pupils with special needs who are in school years 6 and upwards and who like to sing?

If you do and they would like to be in the Summer One Accord Choir in this concert in Ilkley on the 2nd of July please fill in the form below and return it to Diane Paterson, The West Park Centre, Spen Lane, Leeds, LS16 5BE.

  • · You will receive a Rehearsal CD of the songs to be sung, and will be able to practice them in your school. We will then all come together and practice in the morning of the 2nd July and then perform to an audience in the afternoon.
  • On the day we will all gather in the Craiglands hotel and practice the songs together from 10.30 till 12.00 and then we will perform them to an audience at 1.00 till 2.00(approx)
  • Membership of this choir is open to pupils in school years 6 to 13 who have learning difficulties, who attend special schools, resourced provision, units or are in mainstream schools around the region.

YAMSEN is an association dedicated to providing and promoting high quality musical activities and tuition for children and adults with special educational needs . Yamsen runs courses, music days, workshops and concerts which promote music as communication, education and pleasure. It's members recognise The unique contribution that music and the arts play in people's lives, especially in the lives of those who have to overcome added difficulties and disabilities.

YAMSEN is a registered charity formed in 1979 and still going strong!
